GnuCash 2.4.4 is a non-starter under Windows XP SP3. I uninstalled 2.4.3, installed 2.4.4, opened my personal books and all appeared well. However, when I opened my business books, GnuCash unceremoniously terminated, leaving behind the .lck file but not so much as an error message or anything suggestive in the event log. Since I'd had no problem moving from 2.4.0 to 2.4.2, I restored a disk image made prior to the install and retraced my steps several times to be certain the install was clean. I tried several approaches to opening the business file, and did eventually succeed in getting it opened to the accounts tab, but the program rowffed the moment I tried to expand one of the top-level accounts. I did bring up Process Explorer and watch the gnucash processes silently blink off. Other than reporting that they terminated, I can offer nothing helpful, I'm afraid.
So, I'm back to 2.4.3. _______________________________________________ gnucash-devel mailing list gnucash-devel@gnucash.org https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-devel
