Hi. I had given up on this subject after the last mail, since I got no more reply, but I will be more than happy to support you :-) > 1. The EUR symbol (looks like: ) is *correctly* shown in the register where > the "Current: xx Future: xx Reconciled: xx" amounts are shown, and due to > the locale settings of "de_DE@euro" the amounts are correctly shown with > number and trailing euro symbol. Right. > 2. The EUR symbol is *not* shown in any gtkhtml widget. Instead it shows this > weird circle-something-symbol. In the source code we get a ¤ -- should > this result in a euro symbol? If yes, does anybody know how to get gtkhtml to > display the EUR symbol? Also, during startup I get a bunch of warnings like: > > Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation > Gdk-WARNING **: ISO8859-15 > > (ISO8859-15 is just the usual western character set ISO8859-1 plus the EUR > symbol.) Cant say anything about gtkwidgets, since I don't know enough about this things to exactly know what they are, but I get the same error messages when starting gnucash in a terminal. Missed it before, since I started it through an desktopicon. > 3. I don't use the them either, but I found that strange from the beginning, since in the account the main account window the EUR symbol is displayed correctly. > 4. In any Guppi chart, I get just nothing instead of the EUR symbol. But any > Guppi improvements will have to wait until we port gnucash to gnome2... so > that problem is likely to exist well into next year. I don't really know if there is a place for the EUR symbol to appear in any of the guppi charts I have created to check this, but I could find it nowhere. The axis is just labeled with "EUR". Don't know if there should be a EUR symbol appearing anywhere. Mayba a note at the end: I had those problems allready when running under SuSE 7.3 as far as I can remember. So I guess this is nothing distro specific.
