Note that a transaction touches multiple accounts. The "currency" in the transaction is the "common currency" of the transaction (because when you are dealing with "apples" and "oranges", you need some common exchange method between them (e.g. Dollars).
In this particular case your transaction touches accounts with GUIDs 3393b4c322cb03f741b897315442915b and 9d8b567ddf610fc2ca8d85e744640062. What accounts are these two? And what are their currencies? You claim that "the accound[sic] for this transaction is in USD" -- which account? What about the other account? And how did you create this transaction? If the second account is denominated in EUR, does this transaction affect the balance there? I think I have an idea what is going on, but I need to know more information about how you created this transaction and about the particular accounts that this transaction touches, and how it looks from _both_ accounts (you can use the 'jump' button to open the register for the other account).
