alright then. What about the special option while configuring Gnucash
- --with-help-prefix=PATH, would it help if I set this accordingly?

And what about the version nr., is it really 1.7.4. I think, I expected
1.7.6, but maybe these are two seperate projects.

Anyway, I will try and see, what I can get done on the docs.

Err... yes, I think I've seen that bug before. The new help system
hasn't yet
been setup for all languages. I think Chris Lyttle is going to fix this
sooner or later, but yes, in 1.7.6 you cannot reach the German help in
gnucash online.

It seems that the helo files where installed onto the following path:

/usr/local/share/gnome/help/gnucash/de_DE/...

Well, you could always start up a web browser and open the file
/usr/local/share/gnome/help/gnucash/de_DE/index.html
I guess Chris or me is going to fix that pretty soon, but currently
the only
way to reach the German documentation is to directly open the
mentioned file.
