This file is not installed in GNOME2. Commenting out
GNOME_INIT
GNOME_COMPILE_WARNINGS
fixed this issue.
Then the configure script had a problem finding gal.pc. This is due to
the fact that gal has changed to gal-2.0. Just s/gal/gal-2.0/ worked
that problem out. Just trying to help out those that are trying to get
this far.
Now on to the make process:)
