I've been writing a perl module to access the data (read-only) contained in the gnucash XML datafile. Why? To interface to a web-based purchase ordering and budgeting app.

Anyway, I noticed that there is a semi-existant mailing list here:
http://www.gnucash.org/pipermail/

...called "gnucash-perl" created on Jan 22, 2003. What's up with that? Am I reinventing the wheel here?
