Hi, When I execute /opt/gnucash-head/bin/gnucash --load /data/Finances/TestDatafile I get this error:
Backtrace: 0* [primitive-load "/data/Finances/TestDatafile"] 1* <?xml ERROR: In expression <?xml: ERROR: Unbound variable: <?xml [EMAIL PROTECTED] dad]$ /opt/gnucash-head/bin/gnucash --load /data/Finances/TestDatafile FWIW: $ grep "?xml" /data/Finances/TestDatafile <?xml version="1.0"?> I can, however, open the file after starting gnucash with --nofile and opeing the file from within gnucash, but I have these warnings: ** WARNING **: Warning: xaccTransFindOldCommonCurr...(): unable to find a common currency, and that is strange. ** WARNING **: Warning: xaccTransScrubCurrency: no common transaction currency found for trans="CarmaxAutoFinance" ** WARNING **: Warning: xaccTransScrubCurrency: split="Repayment - Principal Portion" account="97fe9dd0d23ad5c20474f25be34e3787" commodity="template" ** WARNING **: Warning: xaccTransScrubCurrency: split="Repayment - Interest Portion" account="97fe9dd0d23ad5c20474f25be34e3787" commodity="template" ** WARNING **: Warning: xaccTransScrubCurrency: split="CarmaxAutoFinance" account="97fe9dd0d23ad5c20474f25be34e3787" commodity="template" <SX's load> ** CRITICAL **: Error: xaccAccountCommitEdit: unbalanced call - resetting (was -1) ** CRITICAL **: file qofquery.c: line 707 (qof_query_run): assertion `q->books' failed. ** CRITICAL **: file qofquery.c: line 707 (qof_query_run): assertion `q->books' failed. Other interesting stuff. At first opening the file, I had an Imbalance account with 3 or 4 transactions. I didn't save the file, but when I re-opened it, I had a Orphan Account with a single transaction, which was different than the once that were in the Imbalance-USD account and I didn't have the Imbalance-USD account. The test datafile is a copy of my main 1.8.7 datafile. What can I provide that would give better insight as to what's going on (short of the datafile, that is).
