How about converting the check images from a checkbook into djvu format, ocr the
checks to extract the text data from the checks, insert this text data as ofx data in
the hidden text layer so that the checks can be searched by date cashed, payee, etc?
The lightweight djvu format would make it easy to easily display documents (including
checks) over slow transmission links.
