Actually, whatever references there may be to earlier 2.6.whatever releases would just be for historical completeness at this point. The version that needs to be fixed is 3.0 and the cause may have different symptoms with different data files or on different computers with different histories of previously installed versions of GnuCash. In fact, being installed over a previous version of GnuCash may be the key thing to trigger the bug. Keep reporting whatever you see with 3.0
