Alphavantage does provide a batch stock api, which you only sends the latest quote, you can send just one stock to that api call e.g. ( https://www.alphavantage.co/query?function=BATCH_STOCK_QUOTES&symbols=MSFT&apikey=<apikey>), which only returns the latest value. -A.
