Indeed. Having just worked through the wiki FAQ language on backups, I would prefer that list advice point to the relevant wiki pages whenever possible, in this case https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Backup <https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Backup>.
I recommend this approach because such issues in GnuCash often have more complexity than can be conveyed in an email.
