I did this while still on High Sierra, not sure if that affects anything or not. And I’ll confess, thinking about it more, perhaps I let MacOS rename the file for me when I copied it over. (It will ask you if you want to ‘replace or keep both’)
I might have removed 2.6, installed 3.0 then installed 2.6 again. I do see that I did another installation of 2.x into ~/Applications I forgot about and it opened my current file, but I don’t recall how I had set this one up or what I used it for. But at one time, I did have two installations opening different files, I’ll confess how I went about that may have been different than I remember. I’ve since removed all other traces of 2.6 so I can’t see what I did.
