I usually provide to my accountant a set of reports, a copy of the data and a downloaded copy of the program. I burn this to a CD-R. This becomes my unalterable backup for the future. I have noted that if they don't have enough information I just get asked for another report, so there has not been any enthusiasm for them to install the program.
