David, I thought about using reports as well, but the OP clearly mentions a "delta" between days, suggesting that they may be looking for data entered out of sequence. Such data wouldn't be accurately displayed in a time slice report.
To truly get a delta, I imagine one would have to process the log files somehow, or use the transaction entered data to see this set. I'm not sure whether there are any reports that allow a user to filter on the transaction entry date field.
