Les It is most likely to be a premissions issue with Flatpak. I'm not familiar enough with that to make any suggestions. If the keyboard is acting normally in other apps it is highly likely to be in that area. You can check what the computer is getting from the keyboard using xev in a terminal. I think John Ralls has chased down such issues before but he should be asleep for the next 5-6 hours.
