Update on Comenity Petco imports: They do offer a CSV-like export option but it turns out that their version makes every value positive and has another column assigning words like payment, charge, interest and a few others to those values, so it either requires some pre-processing or post-processing for GnuCash imports to work.
This does suggest that a nice enhancement to the Generic import would be to allow some editing of import data during the import process. I am not quite ready myself to put forth such a suggestion, but I will throw it out as food for thought.
