Howard, In the register, when you right click on a column heading and select "sort order" there are many choices for the order, including "Number", which I'm sure you are familiar with as you are able to sort them in that order. At the bottom above the "OK" there is an option to "Save Sort Order". Hopefully, it is the same in "Sales".

GC ver 4.4, Mac OS 10.15.7. By default, the items in Sales are sorted by date (old to new). I realize that's sensible, but it's easier for me to find something when I change the sort order to Number. However, GC does not save the NUM sort after closing the application. Could it be otherwise? Many thanks, Howard _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list gnucash-user@gnucash.org To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user If you are using Nabble or Gmane, please see https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Mailing_Lists for more information. ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies.
