Is there an example or tutorial for creating a custom invoice template?
The default invoice does not appear very professional, and has been commented
on by many of my clients.
So far I fix this by using the default and copying the information into a
Microsoft Word invoice form.
This requires a lot of extra time in some cases.

If I do manage to create a good template is there a way to share it with other
Gnucash users?

Thank you all
Eric

The nightly builds are not releases, though you can of course use them in the
way you describe.

The releases on the other hand are found on flathub. And while not obvious from
their website you can install older versions from there as well from the
command line.

Our wiki explains how you can do this:

These issues are currently being worked on. The freeze will only happen if
there are pre-existing descriptions with newlines in them. That will be fixed.

Also the precedence of matches will be revised to be much more like the
original behaviour in 4.x.

The other major issue was being able to ignore suggestions, which is also being
looked at.

Geert

John

to get the latest file,
a. save your existing for reference to a different directory b. delete the
existing accelerator-map from your GNC_USERCONGIR_DIR.
c. restart GNUcash and the new will be appear in your GNC_USERCONGIR_DIR d.
make necessary changes you want in the new file

there has been changes to the tags so better to use the new file

Thanks Murugan,

I plugged those 3 lines you mentioned below into my existing accelerator-map
file, restarted GnuCash, and that fixed things for me. I guess I should adopt
the whole new accelerator file since I see a few things have been renamed.

Best Regards,

John

"<Primary>1")

(gtk_accel_path "<Actions>/GncPluginPageRegisterActions/ViewStyleRadioAction/1"
"<Primary>2")

HI All,

I am experiencing this same problem as Michael with key actions for the
register display options on Windows. The file with the commented-out lines is
still present but seems to be ignored. The key accelerator for Double line mode
is still working though, but not the other 3 I had.

I am running on a recent nightly build of v5.1 (2023-04-30), which fixed the
online quotes problem for me, but the accelerator keys are still not working.

I had reported this problem on the list in v5.0, but got no response.

Best Regards,
John Bonnett

I downloaded 5.1 yesterday but got an error on Windows that it is unsigned.
Will there be a signed version?

The register option "Auto-raise lists" toggle is only for accounts, not
descriptions.

Thanks.
The "not downloaded often" message is different from the "unsigned" message.
I am familiar with both.
I just don't remember having to click "more" and then "download anyway" after
an unsigned message when I previously installed gnucash.

There is no signed version, that I know of. Windows tells me the program is
not downloaded often. I always have to tell windows to keep and open anyway.
