Adrien's comments about trading stocks yourself reminded me of an IRS rule which can cause problems. If you are subject to US income tax and have multiple investment accounts (including pretax ones like IRAs) sales and purchases of the same investment in different accounts within 30 days can trigger the wash sales rule. This just means that you may need to be aware of what is actually being bought and sold in that managed account even if you do not track the values. These issues affect the cost basis so if it happens you may need help from a tax expert. Dale
