BS. You “shared" it because the people on this list are your target market: 
It’s not like your program would be useful to anyone who isn’t a GnuCash user.

You might not be charging for the “public beta” but it’s clear that you’re 
planning to charge for the final product. That’s not “free” in any sense of the 
word. The only thing free here is what you’re trying to get: Free advertising 
and free test engineering services.

That’s not welcome here.
