Hi Jerry,
The preference sets the default for new scheduled transactions. When we
edit an existing scheduled transaction, we are able to override the
default values.

When you are in Gnucash and select Edit/Preferences/Scheduled
Transactions, you can set the number of days to be reminded in advance
of upcoming transactions. When you are in Gnucash and select from the
menu Actions/Scheduled Transactions/Scheduled Transaction Editor you can
select from your list of reminders to edit an individual reminder. This
gives you a chance to select a number of days by individual reminder.
My question is: What is the relationship between these two fields if
any. Does one over ride the other? Which one takes precedence?
