Thanks for all your help! Indeed, different data sources have different
naming conventions, despite the fact that the stocks are all issued by
NYSE. On Yahoo names are with dashes, whereas on alphavantage without
dashes.

Yes you can, but it isn't straightforward. The symbols for
preferred stocks are not uniform across all brokerages/price
sources. You have to figure out what symbol your price source
uses. For example, if your price source is Yahoo, then try MET-PA
