Hi,

AppServer's db-driver now retrieves the authentication-flag from
'connections.conf' instead of 'gnue.conf'. The default of 'False' is
still the same.

Having an 'authentication = ...' setting in gnue.conf's
appserver-section means, AppServer uses (simple) authentication for all
it's sessions, but this setting does *not* influence the login-dialogs
presented to clients.

Having an 'authentication = ...' setting in a connections.conf's
section, determines wether the login-dialog should have username- and
password-fields which will be transmitted to the backend (appserver). If
this appserver-instance is evaluating these credentials depends on the
appserver's setting in gnue.conf (on the appserver-machine).

Take care,

Johannes
