Hi all,
I wonder if there is still some need for a (second?) GNU Go version attending at the KGS Test Computer Tournament this Sunday?
If the GNU Go maintainers appreciate it and Nick Wedd agrees I could bring in any version of GNU Go compiled off the CVS with mingw, running on Win XP 2 on a mobile Athlon XP 2200+ with 1,8 Ghz and 512 MB RAM connected by ADSL.
It currently plays as GoGNU (3.7.2 level 12) on KGS.
Happy Go - ing aquarius.
N.B. On KGS there are a couple of games GoGNU played against Go81 pc version. -- --

I have it installed, but don't have a computer available to run GNU Go. I believe it would be possible to run kgsGtp on my computer and GNU Go on a different computer, communicating via TCP/IP, though, if someone has a computer and is available to set it up.

Hi Nick,
Dear GNU Go people,
I am running a computer Go Tournament on KGS, this Sunday. I would like to attract a variety of entrants, both to test the KGS automated tournament system, and to test the entrants' ability to co-operate with it.
I hope that someone involved with Gnu GO will enter a version of it for this event. Or even several versions. But I would prefer them to be submitted by people who have contributed to the code, or by their representatives, rather than people who have merely downloaded it and compiled it.
We would like to enter, but I don't think any of the current developers has Java 1.5 installed.
But maybe someone one this list has it available and would volunteer to run an "official" GNU Go entry?
Arend
