I haven't looked through all the patch, just two comments:

automatically generated from the .texi-files.)

You can upload revised patches directly there (after creating an account
and logging in, there is an "Attach File" button to add attachments.
I think you shouldn't make any changes to the .sgf-files. The player
names are usually automatically generated and correspond to the account
names.
