I was trying to get an estimated score of a game, and gnugodid something quite odd; the same error message can be reproduced by asking gnugo to play the game.
gnugo stuff.sgf WARNING: Move off board or on occupied position found in sgf-file. Move at M15 ignored, trying to proceed. gnugo 3.7.7 on a Mac Powerbook, OS X 10.3M15 just happens to be a crucial play, and removing it materially affects the predicted score, lol.
