if you spot some personal data in it, i'd be interested in hearing about it. my opinion, after a few tests, is that the problem is not swapping, but either the processor speed or the design of my calculations (my skills could be deficient) hopefully it's a gnumeric problem and i won't need to upgrade my machine or the spreadsheet :) thanks again marlon -- -eom-
