I am not sure how is the command to do it, since I usually use some GUI to do those things, but, *in my opinion*, it would be a good idea to upgrade to gpg 1.4.9, since that is the current version. Version 1.4.5 is RFC2440 compliant, and version 1.4.9 is RFC4880 compliant...
