By the way, you can also revoke UIDs, but not delete them. So if you have a key with a nickname, and you add your real name, there is no way to go back to anonymity anymore, once you have uploaded your key to a keyserver. That means you need to be careful, but other than that, is not a big problem. My advice is you should not care about having too many signatures, just focus in no losing the ones you want to have, and keyservers are perfect for that. Each person is free to "clean" their copy of your public key, including you.
