"perfectly OK" is quite an extreme thing to say, isn't it? Say you encrypted the file with a cipher that is broken tomorrow (i.e. it becomes computationally feasible to determine the plain-text given only the cipher-text), then would you rather have someone else in possession of the cipher-text, when you could opt not to? Of course, that would prevent you from using any SaaS provider.
