#124: Copy and Paste between Xterm and Gnome applications (Locales?)

This may be due to ticket #123, but xterms either are not using the same
copy buffer as Gnome/Gtk applications. It is not possible to paste into
xterms using the middle mouse button (or scroll wheel) nor can highlighted
text in xterms be transfer to Gnome applications. Launching xterm or aterm
produces the error:
Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C
Warning: X locale modifiers not supported, using default
Failed to open input method
The difference in locale is perhaps the problem with not being able to
cut/paste text between Gnome/xterm.
