Hi All, I was going through the Opensolaris release pages[1], and saw
----- libc Linux/BSD Compatibility Two new functions to the C library have been added for familiarity with Linux and BSD operating systems - asprintf() and vasprintf(). They behave as sprintf(), except that they allocate a string large enough to hold the result, and return a pointer to that string. ---- This would make porter's and autobuilder's job much easier.
