I've already volunteered to do that if we have a real stable release,
one which is official, promoted that way and lasts for a long time
(~12..24 months).
I have not reviewed Richard's proposal yet so I can't say yet whether
it matches what I would expect from a stable release. (its on my
[long] todo list ;-)
