No problem when we leave this tool as LGPL and probably even OK, when we change it to GPL. >> gpbs GPL2, includes a file with LGPL 2 which could be removed without >> loosing functionality > > Same concern as above... if the answer is no, then we should consider > removing the code. It is the xdnd.c mentioned below. After reading through the code again I am no longer sure whether we still need part of the XDnD implementation or not. I know for sure that the part, where we try to provide data was wrongly placed here. The code in pasteboardChangedOwner belongs into XDDragView and is already there. To give a better educated answer here, I would need to recheck all the DnD code and some old discussions with Wim. But we need a solution for the xdnd.c file any as it is also used in the x11 code. >> Source >> ------ >> >> Mostly our own LGPL 2 code with copyright by the FSF. > > okay. > >> In x11 we link with xdnd.c which has LGPL2 or later but copyright: >> "Copyright (C) 1998 Paul Sheer". > > Hmmm... this one we need to discuss. > Yes. What is your suggestion? We could try to write our own xdnd.m file, implementing features of xdnd 5. I might just do that. _______________________________________________ Gnustep-dev mailing list Gnustep-dev@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnustep-dev
