Hi Philippe,
I just got a new ubuntu 11.10 install set up natively instead of in a VM, so I 
can actually use Unity now. :-) I can reproduce this... unfortunately GS is 
almost unusable in Unity - menus often don't appear in the correct place, the 
menu selection doesn't always follow your mouse, etc. Hopefully, these are 
things we can fix at some point.
