Your config.log shows that libxml2 gets detected on your system and that
it is found usable. This leaves me without a clue what may be your
problem. Could you please update SVN once again and report back the
error message your are getting when compiling?
Perhaps you could also report back the result of
make messages=yes
But please only for the relevant files :-)
That is NSXMLDocument.m and NSXMLNode.m.
