What is the point to make a github account if nobody reviews the pull
requests? Since I saw no feedbacks from github I decided to push my
patches on the mailing list: I did that by pushing every single git
commit as a patch to discuss them one-by-one.

The githup repository for GNUstep is a read only copy of the official GNUstep SVN repository. Changes from the SVN get automatically copied over to it. As far as I am aware no development takes place there.

I am not surprised to learn that nobody is really following changes and requests there. It should state that on the first page though, to make people aware of the fact.

The correct way to submit patches for GNUstep is to use or bug tracking system: https://savannah.gnu.org/patch/?group=gnustep

There you should submit one patch for each group of changes that belong together. And you have to sign a copyright assignment for the Free Software Foundation first, if you send in a huge patch. Adam Fedor or Gregory Casamento should be able to send you a template.

I think it is great to see such a big commitment from your side. You definitely spend some time writing all these changes and you deserve feedback for them. You just started out the wrong way by using github and your huge amount of mails to the developer mailing list surprised everybody. I would suggest you take care of the copyright assignment first and then we work through your changes one at a time.

Fred
