Put this in /mingw/lib/pkgconfig and also do the following before compiling:
export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/mingw/lib/pkgconfig:${PKG_CONFIG_PATH}
We should make sure that the .pc file is in the next release. The
attached file is one I modified from my Linux system, so I'm not sure
it's 100% correct, but it does solve the immediate issue.
