no, I checked the commit history, nothing that should change stuff.. Interestingly, instead of reissuing the config.status command, I copied it, cleaned everything, reissued it and it worked. Very strange, but thus, I hope, nothing serious or permanent. Rebuilt, installed, everything seems to work.
