We had the discussion previously on this mailing list[1] and also at the meeting[2]. Afaik the plan was: - release 3.8.0 soon as "next", while keeping 3.7.x as "stable" and 3.6.x as supported at best effort (only critical security issues are backported) - at some point during the 3.8 cycle, turn 3.8.x into "stable" and 3.7.x as supported at best effort, and stop supporting 3.6.x Does it make sense?
