Onderwerp: Issue with pipes and standard in?

Hey all!

I am having some trouble piping certain gnu32win commands together. I am
trying to execute the following set of command line utilities:

tar -cvO dir | gzip -c > dir.tar.gz

On my laptop (Windows XP Pro) it works just fine and I achieve the desired
results. On my desktop (Windows XP Pro) I encounter this error:

"tar: Cannot open -: Permission denied"

Can anyone shed some light onto why I am encountering this error?

Thanks and regards,

Wendell

P.S. Yes, I know about the "z" flag for tar but it fails due to a fork
error...
