I am talking about the GlibC which comes with GnuWin32 (i.e. the libgw32c package which is part of GnuWin32). See link http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/libgw32c.htm.
I took the capitalisation from the GnuWin32 which refers to it as GLibC. These included unistd.h, dirent.h etc. which werent part of Visual Studio. I found these in GLibC.
