Hi,

This feels like a problem that probably has a solution, but do far I have
not found out so here we go:

We have a fairly large number of users and a large number of automatically
configured pipeline grops and pipelines.
Since pipelines are _almost_ exclusively set up automatically manual
pipeline config work is rare.

Now I have a small group of people working with test development and a HIL
rig which need admin rights for
one pipeline group during early and mid phases of test development. At the
same time we want global view rights
for the pipeline group (lots of people are interested in even the early
results).
BUT - creating a HIL role for the developers affected and allowing admin
rights for the HIL role on the pipeline group
apparently removes the global view rights from the pipeline group.
Engineers happy and managers not happy (can't see)

Going "loose" and hoping people will be responsible and thus allowing
_global_ admin rights on the pipeline group
didn't work either - the Gui just quietly removed the tickmarks for
"operate" and "admin" after a very long update after "save".
So that means I - unintentionally - revoked the admin rights from the
developers needing it.

If there was some implicit(?) "all users" role I could use that to allow
view right on the pipelinere group, but I can't find anything
like that.

As I started I feel I can't be the first person running into this - does
anyone know how to fix this?
Oh, and we are running 16.11 - I know its old and we are about to upgrade
real soon (tm) but for now that is what we have.

Regards /A
