What type of agents are you using (docker images? linux? windows?)? On which GoCD version?
There should be *something* in the agent logs (especially go-agent.log), as the agent continually pings the server and should complain if it can't talk to the server, which would then report some kind of error message which might give you the reason for the connectivity failure. You should be able to see logs on the agent some time before the 'lost contact" which might explain what the reason is.
