Talking about which (the Goa Book Fair, by Leonard and team), - The event is indeed very nicely organised - Lots of work gone into it, I can only imagine - Nice programmes, with space for so many (parallel sessions)
On the other hand, the crowd could have been more, to take advantage of this feast of books, discussions and ideas. Also, given that there are so many books around, it's natural to expect that the buying rupee gets divided. But there's such a wide variety of books on display/sale. Do pass the word around, especially in the Margao and South Goa area. Goa being Goa, people will take time to warm up to such initiatives. But the Goa Book Fair has grown over the years; and this year too Leonard and team sent out their announcements early, giving time to prepare for the same. Hopefully, more folks will notice what's going on here on the weekend. An initiative well thought out and executed.
