Dear members, The 3 Vol. of the anthology "The Brave New World of Goan Writing & Art," edited by me and published by Cinnamon Teal is forthcoming. I can quite confidently say this an extraordinary anthology with exquisite writing which brings together 29 Goan writers and translators. I shall detail the writers included later on as it would not to fair to single out any one writer. Quite apart from being a literary gift of short stories and poetry, this anthology should be of interest to lovers of non-fiction as it comprises well researched non-fiction essays written in an engaging literary fashion. I shall be releasing snippets of these essays as soon as the anthology is out. I do urge Goans to buy Goan books for the simple reason that Goan writers cannot continue keeping the regional voice alive nor can Goan publishers keep publishing high-quality regional histories and story-telling, if there are not enough buyers to make it sustainable. We need readers. Support Goan writing, writers and publishers. For one thing they make excellent Christmas gifts. Skip the usual Costa's dodol packet this year, buy a book for Christmas.
