The University of California and the Open Access 2020 Initiative (OA2020) are
planning the 15th Berlin Open Access Conference to be held in the Spring of
2021.

With the uncertainties of the continuing global health crisis in mind, the
Conference will be held in person in San Francisco if conditions permit, or
will otherwise be conducted virtually to allow for robust participation. We
hope that postponing the conference from its usual fall / winter date will
allow the global research community to come together with renewed clarity of
purpose and energized by the great strides
made<https://oa2020.org/progress-report/> in the time since the 14th Berlin
Open Access Conference<https://oa2020.org/b14-conference/final-statement/>,
through transformative agreements and related transitional open access models
that redirect former subscription funds to support open access publishing of
research outputs.

Further updates will be provided in due course, and queries regarding the
conference can be directed to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> or
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>.

Best wishes,

Colleen Campbell
