Its was good to read your reaction to my post , too
often we do not have any response to the many posts
we make on this Forum.
Of late there has been quite an interest from the Non
Resident Goans in happenings outside in Goa and outside
GOA. My congratulations and thanks to all the Goans for
their contributions they make by making posts
on this forum. I must confess that they do so - with out the
* hate * that is practiced on many of our other Goan Forums
Too many of us are afraid of writing on this forum - afraid
of their written English - to them I say - Don't worry - just
have your say and say *katore re baji * God is great !
forget what others have to say about your written english ! -
Thank you Joe for this forum - 900 plus members ? We need
to get more of our Goans to participate - we need all of you
to contribute - its been said - that even a fool has a story to
tell -(I am in no way implying that you are one) I ( a fool)
have often told- my stories :- ) many ,still laugh at me !
I am a great believer that if we GOANS are to ever succeed in
our Ideas - suggestions we put up , we must FIRST learn to
come TOGETHER - I believe that this is our biggest problem
we GOANS have to face - having said that we can not give up
- we need to find solutions. I hope that the forthcoming Convention
in Canada does address this problem -
WE should not look for AWARDS for the work we do - we
need to work sincerely and that should be our biggest AWARD
- self SATISFACTION !
GOAN Women need support , they should not expect the Government
nor any of the existing NGO s to give them that support - they need
to that themselves. The need to come TOGETHER - form an organization
- call what you may - and move FORWARD.
I am glad that you agree with me that a Goan Women organization
is the need of the times. I would suggest that you speak to your
Lady friends and form this organization/Forum - Do it TODAY
don't wait for tomorrow - for tomorrow may never come.

Where the GLOBAL Goan women can discuss issues of
interests - without the fear and interference of us MEN !
I also believe that our Goan Society is based on the network of
Goan Villages - it is also important that we strengthen that base.
I hope I can share my thoughts on that subject some other time
