Thanks for the action take. However, it is rather disappointing to note
that
It does take 3.5 months to write a letter of this type to Shri Praful Patel
!
The request for appropriate action was made by Goans in UAE on 9th December
2007
And several times before to others (Government as well as Airline Offices).
If the NRI Commissioner had forgotten about this issue, the other delegate
members (accompanying on the gulf tour) should have reminded and also taken
action,
on their respective fronts. Alas it is ' aya ram and gaya ram ' attitude.
It is only when several attempts now by Goans in the UAE following the
fiasco of
The Leadership Awards, have once again got your attention to initiate the
flight
Issue.
We need to see a scanned copy of the signed letter sent and when it was or
will be
posted to Mr. Praful Patel. Also subsequent attempts should be made as this
process
takes long time, and for sure the direct flight from UAE will not material
until the
next season's schedule is drawn by the Airline Authorities.
