Dears,
It is nice to note that the Goans in Oman are planning programmes in
Konkani, the only identity of Goans worldwide. I hope Goans in Dubai,
Abu Dhabi and other places that are receiving a Pastoral visit will do
the same.
radiogoa.net can be a wonderful link to all the parishes in the UAE,
Oman, etc. It is in Konkani. Being audio, there is no script
controversy on Radio Goa, which is a free internet service initiated
by Benedict Lobo and I believe the only funding it has received so far
is from Melgoans Down Under.Good time for our Gulfy patraos to reach
out to their own neighbour. A few Dirhams, Dinars or Riyals cannot
hurt the pocket of a Goycho patrao but can collectively help make
Radio Goa more vibrant.
The Archbishop of Goa issues all his Pastoral Letters in Konkani and
one can find them on the Renovacao [or Novsorni or Renewal], the
official bulletin of the Archdiocese. Without doubt, it is in Roman
script as are 82 Parish Bulletins [Sondex, Saad, Avaz, Ulo, etc]
'The Source and Summit of Life' for a Christian is Jesus Christ ....
the Way, the Truth and the Life [John 14:6] and the greatest is the
one who serves the most.
All power to the Goykar community. May we be one, world wide.
Mog asundi.
Miguel
